Japanese Dementia Support Association and Steveston Buddhist Temple present ‘I GO GAGA, MY DEAR’, a documentary of an elderly couple from Kure City of Hiroshima Prefecture in Japan, filmed over 1,200 days by their daughter who is a TV producer and director.
It captures the increasingly common issue of the day-to-day struggles of caring for a loved one with dementia through the eyes of a daughter. During the filming, she realized for the first time that her parents love and care for each other deeply.
It is the first international screening of the film.
